What are my rights under Australian Consumer Law?

Quick answer: Dental services come with consumer guarantees that apply regardless of anything in our own policies.

Under Australian Consumer Law, services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for the purpose you asked for, and be delivered within a reasonable time.

If those guarantees are not met

You may be entitled to a remedy. What that looks like depends on how serious the problem is, and it is assessed on the facts rather than decided in advance by us.

Raising it with us first

Start a chat or contact the patient care team. We would genuinely rather resolve something directly than have you go elsewhere frustrated, and it is usually faster.

If you are not satisfied with our response

You can contact the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency about a practitioner, your state health complaints commissioner, or the ACCC or your state consumer affairs body about a consumer law issue. You do not need our permission and it will not affect your care with us.

Note: Nothing in our terms or policies removes or limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
