Do you use amalgam silver fillings?

Quick answer: No. We use composite resin or glass ionomer, both tooth coloured.

Composite resin is bonded to the tooth and matched to its colour, so fillings are not visible when you talk or smile. Glass ionomer is used in some situations where it suits the tooth better, and your clinician will explain which they are using and why.

Note: If you have existing amalgam fillings from elsewhere, they do not automatically need replacing. Your clinician will tell you if there is a clinical reason to.
