What is the difference between a prescribed and an offered appointment?

Quick answer: A prescribed treatment is one a clinician has recommended for you to book when it suits. An offered appointment is a specific time a clinician has held for you to accept.

Prescribed treatment

After examining you, the clinician recommends a treatment. It appears in your app under Prescribed Treatments with its fixed price. You book it whenever suits you.

Offered appointment

The clinician suggests a specific appointment time for you. You accept it in the app by paying for the appointment, which confirms the booking.

The difference is simply whether the time has been chosen for you or is yours to choose.

Note: Both show the full price before you confirm. Nothing is booked or charged until you accept it yourself.
